Uniswap introduces an Android wallet application featuring an integrated swap function.

Uniswap Labs has officially launched its Android mobile wallet app with an integrated swap feature, now available on the Google Play store. This app enables users to execute swaps directly through the decentralized exchange (DEX) within the application, eliminating the necessity for a separate web browser extension, as highlighted by Uniswap Labs' Vice President of Design, Callil Capuozzo.

While the app initially entered a closed beta phase on October 12, this marks its public release for Android users. An iOS version had been introduced in April.

Uniswap, governed by the Uniswap decentralized autonomous organization (UniswapDAO), currently boasts over $3 billion in crypto assets locked in its contracts. Capuozzo shared that the team made adjustments based on user feedback, relocating the wallet address display within the app for improved user convenience.

Moreover, Uniswap has expanded language support, now accommodating English, Spanish, Japanese, Portuguese, French, and both traditional and simplified Chinese. Additionally, a new feature allows users to view the value of their cryptocurrency holdings in their local currency.

Capuozzo noted that the Android app had been a highly requested feature, with the community consistently inquiring about its release. The team is anticipating significant demand and encourages users to provide ongoing feedback for further enhancements.
