Following reports of health issues affecting attendees at ApeFest, an event organized by Yuga Labs for Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) owners, the investigation into the causes has concluded that UV-A emitting lights installed in a specific area likely led to eye pain, skin problems, and vision loss experienced by at least 15 individuals. The confirmation came through a Twitter post from the official BAYC account on November 9, revealing the outcome of a joint investigation with event producer Jack Morton Worldwide. The inquiry involved on-site inspections, testing, interviews with contractors, and a review of equipment logs and specifications. UVA, a UV wavelength range accounting for about 95% of UV radiation reaching Earth, can pose risks to eye health, according to the World Health Organization.
